Attention LakeVille Families! New for Michigan schools.: Recent budget legislation requires all districts to collect the education benefit form from every family. Districts that don’t turn in 100% of their forms can lose thousands in school funding. That’s right. Without your form, LakeVille could lose important funding that our students need. You can print the form on our website and complete it. Once you sign it, please turn it in to your child’s school.

In Michigan in 2024, there were 1,044 crashes involving school buses, 54 of those happened at the bus stops. From the 54 bus stop crashes, there was one fatality, but not on a school bus, and there were 26 injuries. If the bus lights are flashing red – STOP! Red means STOP!

October 28th 5:30-7:00 pm at Columbiaville Elementary - Parents please drop off your athlete at the back door between 5:20 and 5:30. Pick up also at the back of the building at 7:00. This is parent/teacher conference night at Columbiaville so the parking lot will be full!

Driver Tip: During a one-day survey conducted by 2,013 Michigan school bus drivers in May 2025, drivers reported 2,207 times a motorist passed a school bus illegally. Drivers who pass stopped school buses may be charged with civil infractions carrying a fine up to $500. Red means STOP!

For Mar came to talk with 5th graders in preparation for their field trip on Thursday. Students learned about ecosystems, how parts of ecosystems are connected, invasive species, and predator vs prey.
